Girls Night Out

this is going to be a really long post, so just hang on.
ok, so yesterday we went to the circus. it was pretty cool, and afterwards we went to chik-fil-a for lunch ]:P...yea, i don't like eating chicken. anyways, when we came home my sister and i got packed up for a girls night out with our youth at church. so we head over to the church and it is FREEZING. i dumped my bag, pillow, and sleeping bag with blankets into the big van. nine girls piled into the van and got ready for the ride. unfortunately for us, one of the CRAZIEST girls was on our bus. she was calling the local radio station trying to request a song, and doing all....whatever.
...about an hour or so later, we arrive at the elk lodge. we get settled in our rooms and went for a lasagna supper, then had a Bible study together. it was really nice. after that we spent a few hours playing crazy games like Down By The River, Mount/Chariot/Knight, ping-pong and having an awesome time. we tried to play hide-and-go-seek, but that didn't work. i started getting tired around 1ish....i think all the Coke kept my up!!!
everyone was running around like wild maniacs and my room was full of people who were looking at M and Cosmogirl magazines that my roommate brought. of course, i left.
finally, at about 2 am my sister, friend and i crawled sleepily in bed. "wait, maybe we should put a note on the door," my kind friend said "so they won't come in." the rambunctious yelling and running outside made me think this might be a good idea. i handed her a note card as she pulled out her monkey pen (she's obsessed with monkeys). "write, 'IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIVES, USE YOUR LITTLE BRAINS AND DO NOT DISTURB" i said crankily. of course the nice girl wrote 'we are getting in our beds. please do not disturb'. we fell asleep around 2:30. i was surprised i got to sleep.
i woke up at 8 this morning to the smell of cooking and the sound of freshly awakened girls. after walking out of the room, i somehow discovered that several girls had had their faces decorated with eyeliner in their (short) sleep. i knew the two girls who had done it, and i thought it was so stupid and rude. they had taken pictures and were laughing in the hall.
the smell of bacon and sausage was overwhelming so i walked into the kitchen and loaded my plate with eggs, bacon, sausage, and a biscuit. after breakfast we had another Bible study, then loaded our stuff into the van, yet again. oh, and did i mention there was about an inch or two or snow on the ground!
we were again stuck with the crazy chick on the ride home. i won't go over the details. we got back early and waited in the van for mom to come and get us. after that we went to some class with our friends, then to a unit at the nature center on animal care. that was pretty much everything interesting. thanks for sticking with me in my droning on and on and on and on.....
